Tenure-Track Assistant Professor of Psychology, Child Clinical Specialty - West Chester University of Pennsylvania

West Chester University of Pennsylvania’s department of psychology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Child/Adolescent Clinical Psychology beginning August 2018 at the assistant professor level.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. in psychology and be licensed or licenseeligible in the state of Pennsylvania. Completion of doctorate is required before the start of the Fall 2018 semester. In addition, applicants must have the following: (1) experience with evidence-based trauma treatment of children and/or adolescents, (2) experience providing clinical supervision to pre-doctoral practicum students, (3) a commitment to teaching courses in clinical psychology at the undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as specialty courses in child and adolescent clinical psychology including Trauma Interventions for Children and Adolescents, (4) an active program of research with children or adolescents, as evidenced by a track record of recent peerreviewed empirical research, and (5) a demonstrated commitment to mentoring undergraduate and graduate students in research.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference will be given to applicants with a research focus in the area of trauma.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: Applicants selected for on-campus interviews will present a colloquium to demonstrate teaching and research excellence. The Department of Psychology is composed of 25 full-time faculty members and serves approximately 850 undergraduate majors, 40 master’s degree students, and is beginning to serve clinical Psy.D. students.
